Why I started this
I started By Evie after I had my daughter.
Nothing in my wardrobe made sense anymore. Everything I tried on was made either for the body I had before, or the body someone thought I should be working my way back to. So I started making the clothes I actually wanted, and named them after her.

The things people ask
Who is By Evie made for?
We design for petite mums, which we take to mean 5'3" (160cm) and under. Everything is graded for a shorter frame from the start rather than shortened at the end, so the shoulder seams, the waist and the hem land where they should.
I'm taller than that. Can I still wear it?
Yes, please do. The width and body measurements are the same as anywhere else, so the fit through the bust and waist will be right for you. The only real difference is the length, which sits a little shorter on a taller frame. Plenty of women love the hem exactly where it lands.
What if I'm between two sizes?
Take the one that gives you room to move, because your body has probably changed more than once this year and it may change again. If you would rather just ask, send us your measurements and we will tell you honestly which one we would put you in.
What is it made from?
The dress is 66% bamboo, 26% cotton and 8% spandex. That is why it feels so good against the skin, and why it moves with you instead of holding you in one shape. Your body may well change again this year, so the stretch is there on purpose.
Can I actually feed in it?
Yes, and easily. There are invisible zips at the side seam and the centre back, and the side opening is the same length on every size. It lands in the same place on your body whether you are an XS or an XL.
Where do you ship, and what does it cost?
We ship anywhere in Australia. Regular post is $9.95 and express is $14.95, and shipping is free on orders over $200. We are not sending overseas yet, though we would like to, so it is worth joining the list if you are outside Australia.
Can I return something?
Yes, within 30 days, as long as the tags, the packaging and the item are all still the way they arrived. If you have changed your mind we will sort out an exchange or store credit and you cover the return postage. If something turns up faulty we pay the postage and fix it properly.
Where are you based?
We are an Australian company and the clothing is designed in Melbourne.
When do you launch, and what do I get for joining the list?
We launch on 1 November. If you are on the list we will send you a discount code before launch day, let you shop first, and give you first pick of the sizes and colours.
